[Art] Tern Dolls/Pictures (and a little Crowspirit)

So I've been waiting to post any picture references of Tern because I was going to draw him first, but I never get around to finishing the drawing, so I decided that I really should just post this. I'll probably post a rough sketch later, I just don't know if I'll ever get around to a polished version.

This was one I did while I was still working through the character details. It gives a rough idea of him, but there's something about it that just isn't right (especially the hair)


This one is my favourite doll of him (that I made). I think it resembles him a lot (as much as a doll can resemble a character) Leanan's doll is my ultimate favourite though, she did an amazing job.

All the new gender bender dolls have inspired me. Making a female Tern is so much easier than the very limited guy makers! I felt so free! :'D

Forgive all the different hairstyles he has in all the pictures! DX I kind of just choose what suits the current doll best, and what still is Tern-esque, just because his perfect hair is never on any of the dollmakers.

Here's a Dinogeddon of Tern.. this hair would be him just getting out of the water, or facing a strong wind. The short part of his hair stops midway up his head, though, so it's not as high up as in this picture.

And here's an improved Ascension Tern, and a gender bent Crowspirit. I couldn't resist putting the crow on her/his shoulder :'D I think she makes a better guy than girl! The only thing would be that the pony tail would be higher. The eyes aren't the right colour because I forgot that it changes if you change the eye shape.

When I was doing Tide, I noticed the anchor tattoo and it (as well as all leanan`s modern dolls) inspired me to do a modern, beach/surfer-y Tern

This actress reminds me a bit of Crowspirit. With a few differences, of course.
