Crowspirit
I feel like she might be a little more detailed than Tern :O Please don't take that for my favouriting her over him!!
Player's name: WolfCandy
Character's name: Crowspirit
Gender: Female
Character's age: 170
Soulname: Zii (zee)
Tribe: WolfFolk
Tribal Position: Hunter and guard
Appearance: Light skin; light chestnut, almond eyes; squared eyebrows. Light brown hair that is braided up from the base of her head to about ¾ up and then tied in a high tail. She has an oblong face with high cheekbones, soft features, and full (but not thick) lips. Thin, round-tipped nose. She’s average height among the WolfFolk. For the most part, Crowspirit has very general features (her eyebrows being the odd ones out). None are too distinct, taking a less sharp tone to her face. This helps her be overlooked if she is near the beach with her tribemates because nothing about her really stands out. Above her eyebrow, she has a small, circular scar (that she is not afraid to admit happened while not paying attention climbing up a tree and running into a branch.)
Body Build: Triangle body frame with well toned muscles
Usually Seen Wearing: A dark grey-brown, tawny flecked fur vest (from her first wolf-friend’s coat) over a simple, fringed brown leather top that ends at her empire line. Darker brown leather trousers with obvious stitches. She doesn’t wear shoes (unless environment conditions require it) because she wears them out too fast. She has to get her clothes repaired more often than her tribemates because of her independent ventures (where she often encounters thick underbrush, or twigs of trees that tear at her clothes while climbing).
Weapon preference: Blow darts and a short sword. She applies a venom to the dart tips that will momentarily stun so that she can move in and make the kill. The sword’s name is Spider, and the darts are collectively known as The Silks
Family: Father; Knotbeard (d), Mother; Stone (presumed dead, but not confirmed), no lovemates worth noting.
Personality: Crowspirit strives to live in the Now, but it isn’t always as easy for her as it is for others. She has an active and reflective mind and can’t help herself from venturing into the future, or staying in the past. A part of her carries guilt and a feeling of inadequacy because of her lack of resolve in the very thing that should be at the core of every wolf-elf. However, over the years she has grown more okay with this.
She is unfailingly loyal and very protective of her tribe, which can be both a good thing and a bad. While she loves to be alone, she tries to be social within the tribe. Occasionally, during times of peace, she will go off on her own and scout the territory for semi-long periods of time. It is in these solitary ventures that she thinks most on the deeper things inside her. Although she takes short ventures regularly, she looks forward to the much longer ones. Crowspirit rarely lets out her inward feelings (she has been even less open since her mother's been gone), so she is always friendly and cheerful (but not in an energetic, smiley, outgoing way). She is generally calm and collected.
Unfortunately, she is about as stubborn as an old oak. She does things in the time, place, and fashion she chooses and no one can push her otherwise. This, combined with her strong sense of values, can lead to arguments with others. Because she is so loyal, she will follow Straystar into anything, but has no problem showing any reluctance or making her thoughts known to him.
On occasion, she may share furs with someone, but she never has any serious lovemates. Similarly, she does not actively hope for recognition or a family of her own. If it comes, she will take it as a blessing, but otherwise she is happy without it. Protective and loyal to her tribe and in love with forest, she fears she will recognize a SeaFolk and her forest life will become jeopardized. To prevent this, she avoids the beach as best as she possibly can.
Because she is so contemplative, she generally has a serious expression when not in conversation. This thoughtful expression can be easily mistaken for being anger or upset.
Likes: Solitude and silence, reflection, possibility, stories, the forest, her tribemates, beauty in nature, the feel of the forest floor beneath her feet, being alert and aware, independence.
Dislikes: Being forced into things, the idea of living away from the forest, the thought of something happening to the tribe, dreamberries, injustice, dishonour (unless for the good of the tribe), lies (unless for the good of the tribe), disloyalty.
Skills: Skilled sender. Good aim and senses. Debating. Navigation. Climbing.
History:
Born Root, Crowspirit’s parent’s knew that she would be a stubborn child. Although she played with fellow cubs and tribemates, she was content with playing on her own and was driven by a fascination of the simplest things. Her mother was gentle and thoughtful while her father was a gruff follower of the Way. At a young age, Crowspirit knew she wouldn’t be able to live in the Now as well as others, and this unsettled her. She confided in her mother this insecurity, and her mother reassured her that not everyone was so bent set on it like Knotbeard was. Her father tried to pound the Way and his own gruffness into her, which is partly why she isn’t like that (as she will be what she chooses and not what people try to force). She spent some time with him, but disliking his forceful ways, spent more time with her mother. The two grew very close because of this.
Knotbeard trained her with his preferred weapons, a bow and spear, and she picked up quickly. She did not like the bow or spear, though, especially since her father wouldn’t let her try any other weapon. Unfortunately, her natural knack for aim made spear and bow the most practical weapons for her and she wouldn’t overlook that asset to the tribe just to spite her father. One day, at age 19, she was observing the beauty and intricacy of a spider web. An insect flew into it and got stuck, then she watched the spider rolling it up in silks and feeding on it. She knew how spiders caught and ate their prey, but this one moment gave her the idea of using the spider’s ways to catch her prey. After developing the design of her new weapon (with the help of a particularly innovative tribemate), she had The Silks and Spider. This aggravated her father to no end. She also prefers the honour of looking her prey in the eyes when she kills it.
When she was 62, Knotbeard was bit by a creature with the frothing mouth while alone on a hunt. He killed the animal and disposed of it, then returned to the tribe and told them what had happened. At the time they had no healer or way to prevent madness from entering the elf [if this conflicts with any current history of the tribe, let me know and we can make it happen at a different time X)], so he agreed to leave the tribe to die on his own and far away. Stone, being extremely loyal (like her daughter), chose to leave with her lifemate and ensured that he wouldn't return to the tribe in madness, bringing disease to them. During this time, Crowspirit became more reserved than usual, constantly sending to her mother to keep in touch. This period of time greatly honed her sending skills, as she had to send farther and farther away as time went by. Eventually, however, she could no longer reach her mother, whether it was because she was out of range or dead, Crowspirit wasn’t sure. Due to the sendings from her mother, she knew that her father was beyond hope of help, but she still holds the possibility that Stone is alive and constantly tries to send to her. Now she carries resentment towards her father because he is the reason her mother is gone.
After she lost contact, she became terribly reserved from the tribe, barely speaking with anyone. Because her mother, who was literally her stone when she doubted herself (and was, in her daughter’s eyes, the closest thing she had to touching the Now), Crowspirit felt like she had lost the Now entirely, and consequently the Way as well. She left the tribe to search for it in silent contemplation. While she was gone, she happened upon a crow that fascinated her. She observed the crows for some time, finding they possessed many admirable qualities. This surprised her because she would have never expected it coming from the scavenger that many looked at with disgust. Eventually she realized that, like a crow, she was different from assumptions. Not all WolfFolk were set followers of the Way and lived in the Now, and she could intertwine the Way with her Way. This was the first independent step she took to an unfinished journey of acceptance. As a tribute to her mentors, and as a reminder to carry with her the qualities of a crow and use them to benefit her tribe, she returned to the tribe with her new name.

Re: Crowspirit
when we do get a Howlkeeper, then she can certainly become an apprentice, but for right now that's not really feasible because there isn't really anyone to mentor her...so it doesn't make sense, and i'd like to limit the amount of NPC's.

Re: Crowspirit
You also could just make her older 3 or 4 hundred? Then she could just be the howlkeeper we don't have very many older sctive Wolffolk at the moment.

Sorry! :$ And she was going to either be Howlkeeper in training, or howlkeeper... would you like me to alter it so that she is already howlkeeper?

Re: Crowspirit
well i assumed from your question the other day on if she should be a full howlkeeper or not gave me the impression she already was. whether she is or isn't is entirely up to you, i just would like some clarification on that.
her history looks good, and thank you for putting in the spaces.^^ just figure out what her tribe role is exactly and then i can approve this.

I want her to be hunter and guard. Then, when/if we get a howlkeeper I was wondering if she could be their apprentice? If not, that's fine x)
