Appearance: Skin: light tan, Hair: Dark silver fading to lighter at its’ tips due to being in the sun a lot. Has matching goatee kept short. His hair is kept it short and looks somewhat messy, which makes his Chief’s tail difficult to see sometimes.

Body Build: Medium build and lean muscular

Usually Seen Wearing: Darker tan tunic, Olive green pants, Brown tall boots, leather bands wrapped around his forearms as bracers and a fur draped across his shoulders that attaches to the tunic with ties so it does not fall off.
Weapon preference: bolos x2 and Bow and arrow, also has his mothers metal sword and knife given to him by the elder who tied his Chief’s tail.

Personality: Very laid back to the point of looking lazy, though he is not completely so and is actually very strong willed and stubborn when he wants to be. He prefers to observe what is going on around him to see how best to act and if he needs to act on it.  He prefers for folks to work it out themselves but if they can’t reasonably do that he will step in and mediates. He loves to spend time in the now of wolf thought fishing on the riverbank. The biggest reason he explores is because his Lifemate loves it so much. He does not dislike it but would rather be fishing. If there is an issue that is not just a silly squabble amongst the tribe members he always tries to break it up rather than egg it on. If it is a squabble between Seafolk and Wolffolk It’s a >sigh< not again responds, usually ending up in cuffing said Wolffolk upside the back of there head, and trying to solve the dispute via talking. He is a very reliable elf when it is important and always willing to lend a hand or ear when needed to either tribe.

Likes: Fishing in the rivers near the holt, dreamberries sometimes both at the same time. Relaxing and being in the now of wolfthought. Hunting and exploring. Laying in sunny spots in the grass. Spring time and his grass woven hat from one of the Seafolk he traded river fish for.
Dislikes: Having to be bothered with things that are problem related from silly tribal squabbles (they just ruin everyone’s day) or boring stuff like collecting herbs and tanning. Not overly fond of the deeper parts of the ocean, you could say it is a fear of his though only a few know why.

Skills: Fishing, Hunting, Scouting, Strategist, Very good at using his bolos. Very quiet mover and good at hiding, Decent with a bow but not great.  His sending is very strong distance wise from so many trips from the Holt. Enjoys carving wooden figures as a hobby uses them in trades with the seafolk sometimes


History: Straystar earn his name by being so different than the rest of the tribe. He never hated the Seafolk like many of his tribe did or feel threatened by them. His mother made a comment to him in anger of his habits and actions saying they were unfit for the ‘Way’. Telling him to act like a real Wolffolk and not like some Straystar in the sky on it’s own path alone. When he heard this he laughed at her and said “well mother if that is what I am then that is what I shall be called, with my Chieftesses permission of course” winking at her which only put her into a rage of agreeance and dismissal from her sight. He was 205 when this occurred.  His tribe name before this was Shadestep for his skill in being silent and hidden.

He pretty much grew up around Windgrace and was force by her to go with her on her explorations when he was about 100 though he would have rather been fishing. Straystar met Tern when he saw the young elf fishing on the rocks one day (SS was 178). They would compete at fishing with each other as well as other things. One day while fishing in the sea Shadestep who was up to his hips fighting a fish to reel in, had his feet swept out from under him by a rip tide and he was pulled out to sea. Tern seeing this leapt in after him and thus saving the nearly drown Shadestep. Shadestep made Tern promise to tell no one, letting him know he was the Chieftesses son and if she found out he was almost drown though it was by his own carelessness, her dislike for the seafolk would only grow more. Windgrace and Straystar became lovemates when he was around 240 and as he says he has not been able to hide form her nagging since to help her search for herbs and go exploring with her. ;-P His mother hoped being lovemates with Windgrace would motivate him into a stronger role for the tribe since he would be chief one day, however, he is just content as he is and provides his share of food, usually via river fish.

His relationship with his mother was rocky for most of his life even though he was always there when needed and more. She just could not see the talents he did have verses the ones she though he should have. Unbeknown to Straystar he reminded her of his father whom he never knew and the tribe knew nothing about to his knowledge. His father was a wandering elf Firespark came across while out on a hunt by herself near the plains. She came across him and confronted him wanting to know why he was in her territory and they Recognized when their eyes met. Horrified she spoke of it to no one and only gave the information that the child was of Recognition and nothing else needed to be know about who the father was.  Kesyn is a pure blooded elf, making Straystar half wolfrider. Becoming chief was never something on his mind even though he knew it would come around one day. About 250 years ago his mother was killed on a hunt for boar, one surprised her and another tribemate on the hunt by bursting out of the brush and severely goring her and her wolf who where unfortunate enough to be in the wrong spot waiting to pounce on another kill.  The hunting group took her body back to the Holt for a proper howl and send off. Before she dies she told one of the elders on the hunt that she passed on the chieftainship to her son Highones help you. The elders passed on her wishes and Straystar was made Chief. Since he has had  two serious challenges from older tribemates that sought to take the chieftainship from him and failed. One is gone on to the Palace and the other is still around to council as an elder.

There have been some internet outages which have affected a lot of routes so depending on where you are and where the images are being stored, somewhere between might be an issue. I've had no problem viewing any of these images at all, though yesterday almost all day, none of the little 'forum icons' were working for me.
