Redirects from the site's ads
Today I've gotten a new-page redirect with absolute scam crap on them from the ads here. :/ Anyone else? I have adblock plus working on firefox (not the current ff, I'm using 28 because if I wanted chrome I would download chrome which resembles the newest version too much) and while I have on-page things disabled (except for a few which I actually enjoy seeing like the dress advertisers... which I take screenshots of their dresses with the intent to use them for drawings lol) I'm kind of concerned that the site's got some malware hiding around.
I just don't click on anything but the x to cancel the page, but it's a bit odd that it hadn't done this for several days, and now it does.

i haven't gotten anything from the site...though it is thoroughly unfortunately you've experienced this! i'll see if i can find a way to make sure we don't have malware or anything like that.

Re: Redirects from the site's ads
It was one of the banner ads, actually - whenever it would come up, it would also spawn a random spam page. All of them extremely suspect but then I guess that's the only people wanting people to click. Blocked now, doesn't come up.

Re: Redirects from the site's ads
i've asked about this on the help for the forumotion...if ANYONE gets the redirect, please let me know! tell me which link you were clicking, and what site it redirected to.
the best they could say was to use an ad blocker.

Re: Redirects from the site's ads
If I can figure out how to get Adblocker Plus to tell me which site I just blocked, I will tell you I have been trying, I just am not that gung-ho on blocking everything in site these days (most sides don't DO redirects any more lol) but it'd be the last one in the list... if I can find the list.
Re: Redirects from the site's ads
Ah, here's one. adfarm dot Mediaplex dot com - they have a redirect command that opens in a new frame.
A good amount of ad dot doubleclick dot net also show up with a blocked frame sequence, but I have had doubleclick blocked for years and years, I'm pretty sure.

Re: Redirects from the site's ads

So have we gotten this taken care of? I mean do we need to look into this more?

Re: Redirects from the site's ads
so it's not a problem? we looked at going add free but we can't do that on our own, so we're suggesting everyone get ad blocker software. Let me know if it becomes a problem.
