Recognitions List

[Tidemist]

This is the thread where people will be listed as they do or do not wish to recognize other characters. Specific recognition requests, meaning between particular characters, must be PMed to Tidemist or a High One and approved. Otherwise people who consent to recognition will be submitted to a general pool and pulled randomly during the story. Characters who are owned by the same player will not recognize.

Recognitions will last two months of real time, meaning if the parents recognize July 3, they will have the baby August 3rd and be considered a Death Sleep(Autumn) baby. The parents may choose for one of them to roleplay the child or put the childs character up for adoption by another player. If they are put up for adoption, they will be considered NPC until a player adopts the profile.

If you wish for your character and someone elses to recognize, you must ask me or Kaimeta and your elves must be open to recognition. Specific recognition will work in that if either character is picked during a random draw, they will automatically recognize their requested mate. If you wish for your elves to have children outside of recognition, you may have a healer's help, which must be requested in story to Kaimeta, and be subjected to 2 die roll to decide success, one to see if the healer can successfully increase fertility, and a second roll to see if a baby will be created.. Attempted pregnancy without a healer's help will have one roll. You can request a new roll if unsuccessful in a month's time, real life.

if players decide between themselves they want their characters to recognize, they have to let the staff know for approval. after all, can't have recognitions left and right can we?^-~ otherwise, yes, recognitions will be randomly chosen at random times decided by the staff.

yes! i wanted an experience true to the nature of recognition. you never know when it'll happen or with who. that means people who want to recognize someone...it could happen, eventually. but the player's just won't know when.^-~
